紀の国トレイナート2017 作品公募

趣旨、目的 Our purpose	紀の国トレイナートは紀伊半島を海沿いに走る、和歌山県JRきのくに線の駅舎を舞台に展開するアートプロジェクトです。12以上の市町村が制作をサポートし、地域の人々とアーティストが共に場に応じた作品を生み出すことを目指します。鉄道は生み出された作品をつなぎ地域間の人々の交流の場を深めます。そして、地域外からの鑑賞者をより惹きつけるアートプロジェクトとなることを私たちは目指しています。その場にもっともふさわしい作品との出会いを求めて、紀の国トレイナート2017は新規に作家を募集いたします。 Kinokuni Train Art is an art project that makes exposition spaces out of the stations of Wakayama Prefecture’s JR Kinokuni Line, which runs along the coast of the Kii Peninsula. For over 12 years, the inhabitants of the peninsula’s cities, towns, and villages have supported artists, striving to collaborate with them to create works appropriate to all the locations of the project. The railway links these works together, creating a space for the people of the region to come together. We strive to create an art project that will attract aesthetically-minded people from outside the region as well.Today, Kinokuni Train Art 2017 is once more searching for artists who can create the works that will fit in best with the stations of the JR Kinokuni Line.

Kinokuni Train Art is an art project that makes exposition spaces out of the stations of Wakayama Prefecture’s JR Kinokuni Line, which runs along the coast of the Kii Peninsula. For over 12 years, the inhabitants of the peninsula’s cities, towns, and villages have supported artists, striving to collaborate with them to create works appropriate to all the locations of the project. 金銭的支援 Financial Support	1回分の往復交通費。（新幹線特急自由席料金をベースとした）運営状況に応じて、心ばかりの制作費を可能な限り支給させていただきます。宿泊は、アーティスト用レジデンスをご用意しています。・各レジデンスは実行委員会が手配します。・実行委員会側が用意するレジデンス以外を希望の場合は自己負担となります。・レジデンスから制作地への交通費用が発生する場合、自己負担となります。 Travel expenses will be reimbursed for one round trip. (Based on the cost of a ticket for an unreserved seat on the Shinkansen limited express) Insofar as conditions allow it, we will provide artists with a token allowance to help cover costs incurred while creating their works. An artist residence will be made available as accommodation. -The Executive Committee will make arrangements for each residence. -Artists desiring to live outside of the residence provided by the Executive Committee will pay their own accommodation expenses. -Any expenses incurred while traveling between the residence and the artist’s place of work will be born by the artist.

Evaluation

チューニング協議会が各会場の諸条件・関係者や住民との関わりなどを考慮し選定。
（チューニング協議会は、JR西日本、各市町村、田辺商工会議所、紀の国トレイナート実行委員会によって構成されています。）

When making a selection, the Tuning Council considers the conditions involved in the use of each location, potential for connecting with stakeholders or residents, and the like.
(The Tuning Council consists of JR-West, the cities, towns, and villages involved, the Tanabe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Kinokuni Train Art Executive Committee.)

著作権の扱い Copyright	・プランの著作権は応募者に帰属・作品の撤去及び改修はJR西日本の判断によるものとする。 -All copyrights of plans remain with the applicants -Works can be removed or repaired at the discretion of JR-West.

作品制作候補駅 Work Production Candidate Station	JRきのくに線沿線駅舎　（昨年は御坊駅〜新宮駅間で開催） ※駅によっては制作ができない場合もあります。 JR Kinokuni Line Station Building (last year : Gobō Station to Shingū Station) *Depending on the station you may not be able to produce works.
